Whether you bite your nails because of anxiety, boredom or for a reason that is still unknown, you continue until there is no more nail to bite and then before you realise it, your nails are embarrassingly short and stubby. You know that nail biting is wrong but you can't help it. You wish you could stop, but for you, nail biting is almost as natural as breathing and you don't even realise you are doing it...
If this sounds like you then you are probably an avid nail biter like myself.
I bite my nails constantly. Recently (earlier today) i bit my nails down until there was almost no nail to bite on and i felt so ashamed. I don't even have to be nervous myself, - if anyone around me, in a film or book is nervous or does something that makes me nervous for them, i bite. Like for example, i have been rereading the Twilight Saga this week and earlier today i was rereading Eclipse and i felt so worried and nervous for the characters and their fate that i bit my nails without realising, and when i finally did it was too late. So this month i have decided to quit, (for real this time). It was my new years resolution but obviously i failed that, so i need to reassess my resolutions and try to achieve them before this year is out.
So if it is okay with you guys, i'm going to maybe do a few posts and videos on my progress etc and what i will do to prevent myself from biting again.
Well thats it for now
Toodles :)
Jasmin
